Building the charging network for a mobile-first world.
Power Box Technologies Ltd is a Liverpool-based UK technology company creating a return-anywhere portable power bank rental network.
Our mission is straightforward: give people access to power while they're away from home, without asking them to leave their phone behind at a static charging point. As smartphones have become central to how people pay, travel, navigate and stay in touch, running out of charge has stopped being a minor inconvenience — it can cut someone off from the day they had planned.
Power Box was created to solve that problem with a network model: rent a fully charged power bank from any participating station, take it with you, and return it to any other station across the city.

Boris has more than a decade of experience owning, building and operating hospitality and consumer-facing businesses.
That experience in hospitality provided first-hand exposure to how dependent customers have become on smartphones for payments, transport, communication, navigation and entertainment — and how disruptive it is when a phone runs out of charge mid-way through an evening or a shift.
Power Box was created to solve a simple but increasingly important problem: people need access to power while they are away from home, without leaving their phone behind at a static charging point.
From Liverpool, to the UK
Liverpool first, built for what comes next.
Liverpool is Power Box's first deployment market. The network model — dense clusters of stations that make rent-here, return-anywhere convenient — is designed with future expansion into other UK cities in mind.
